Continuously variable Ultramatic transmissions provide ideal gear ratios regardless of conditions or speed, while maintaining constant belt tension to ensure maximum reliability and belt longevity. The Ultramatic design also helps maintain consistent engine braking when off the throttle, which can help control and even reduce speeds when descending hills, or slowing for a corner.
